[ale] Format of /proc/<pid>/stat

Excuse me for being ignorant.  I can not see to lcate the specification of /proc/<pid>/stat.  I have read Documentation/proc.txt and is seems that the documentation does
not want me to know much about the proc VFS.  I'm looking for the maximumx amount of cpu time a process has used.  I'm looking for hogs.
