[ale] [Fwd: rpm & cpio]

I found the problem and it didn't have anything to do with RedHat OR
KDE. I had a bad block on my hard drive. It showed up during a reboot. I
ran fsck -c -y /dev/hda2. This flagged the bad block that rpm was trying
to write to. Now all rpm's install without error.
