[ale] network card conf

i have an HP 16 NIC card for which there are no known available linux
drivers. After March's installfest, however, someone suggested I load the
module for the AMD network card (after they look more closely as the the HP
NIC). I have ATT broadband at home and have my other win2k hosts connected
via my Linksys router. I wanted to simply use DHCP to assign an ip address
to my linux web server, but this NIC card is foiling my plans. I did a
reinstall lately of RH7.2 hoping it would have more drivers to recognize my
NIC card but soon saw (after using netconfig) that my server was still out
of the loop.

Besides going into expert mode off the RH cd to see if that AMD module
works, is there a list of device drivers already installed during the
install process that I can reference?

Thanks in advance.

These errors can also be due to the loose connectors of the IDE drive.
Check them, and make sure they are proper (I faced this problem some
time ago, which went off when all the connectors were tightened).

HTH.
