No disrespect, but is this a question or a statement?  You might want to
elaborate if it's a question...

What database (mysql?)  What web language (php? perl?)  It should be
straighforward in either language, and with most any ODBC database.

I want to use a web page on the apache server to reference another host's
database.  The other host is at 192.168.1.2 and the web server 192.168.1.1.
