[ale] NIC speed?

What you can do (and how you do it) probably depends on which NIC
driver you are using (and whether it's a module or compiled in).
I know, for example, the tulip driver has some options for setting
the default media type/speed/duplex as well as the verbosity of the
logged messages.

Subject:	[ale] NIC speed?

I've got a linux box, this one running kernel 2.2.16. Due to problems with
the switch they're plugged into they need to be forced to 100mb full duplex,
and not autonegotiate...

ifconfig and dmesg don't report the speed of the interface or if it's
autonegotiated... Thoughts?

Robert
