[ale] 20 gig install problem

Select neither. LBA is handled all in the bios. Append is used to send
additional tweaks and info to the kernel during bootup. It is ofte used if
the disk geometry is different from what the bios reports it to be. Which
in this case, after using the Maxtor bios stuff, is probably a problem.
Maxtor, and Seagate for a while, had "drivers" that were installed to
emulate LBA mode for motherboards that didn't support it. This causes
problem when the bios does support LBA. It results in 2 translations of
disk geometry and the second one is wrong. :(
