Unless they are really new....  as I found out with the Multi Monitor
version of the Radeon (VE).  Although a driver should be ready in the next
month or so.

ATI cards usually work damned well under linux.  You might try www.ati.com,
or running xf86config and looking for that card specifically.  And while it
isn't strictly required, AGP support in your kernel (I'd recommend using
2.4) would probably be good.
