[ale] Disabling AAAA queries

For several months my Red Hat 7.1 systems have been sending out AAAA queries.
Does anyone know how to disable this?  I'm just running bind-utils-9.1.0-10,
no named.  The BIND FM doesn't mention how to disable these.

My resolv.conf is pretty simple:
search twoguys.org yagosys.com riverstonenet.com
nameserver      207.69.188.186
nameserver      207.69.188.187
nameserver      207.69.188.185
nameserver      63.113.148.10
