[ale] uptime war?

Uptime is a very sharp double edged sword...depending on the machine's
mission.

With 433 days uptime under your belt, I don't think anyone can question
the "reliability" of your system. However, with that much uptime the
"survivability" is definately questionable.

Pick out your cut-off date and see how mant kernel bugs you find since
then. Of course, if the machine sits in a locked room with no network
connection and you never log into it...disregard.
