According to linuxprinting.org, this printer will work with Ghostscript as device "ljet4". Are you using Ghostscript to handle printing?

Subject: [ale] Printcap question

I'm working on settin up my Linux box to print to a Xerox docuCentre
printer. I'm getting everything to work except  the text is still
stairstepping, and SuSE 7.1 isn't terribly helpful in that regard. The
printer configuration tool does not have an option, so I fear that I
will have to correct this problem manually. Does anyone know how do do
this easily? This is what I have in the printcap so far:

lp2|130.207.xx.xx-lp-lp|130.207.xx.xx lp:\
        :lp=:\
        :rm=130.207.xx.xx:\
        :rp=lp:\
        :sd=/var/spool/lpd/130.207.xx.xx-lp-lp:\
        :lf=/var/spool/lpd/130.207.xx.xx-lp-lp/log:\
        :af=/var/spool/lpd/130.207.xx.xx-lp-lp/acct:\
        :ar:bk:mx#0:\
        :tr=:cl:sh:

TIA
Josh
