[ale] audio email message

Hi 
Am trying to figure out which program to use in Linux
sending audio email messages, i have only tried
audiosend.but failed to figure out how to set the
RECORD_AUDIO environment, Am using Turbo Linux so
efter running "audiosend someone at some.where" am prompt
with recording which i did, but trying to listen to
audio before sending it does not give me any sound.
Question
How can i solve this.
Is there any other program i can use ?
