[ale] OT: RBL / spam blocker for MTAs?

Does anyone out there in ISP land use the MAPS RBL for spam blockage? Can
anyone comment on how well it performs?  I'm using Exim as my MTA, and
setting up the RBL seems straightforward enough...if anyone has experience
there, I'd appreciate those comments too.
