[ale] Apache driving me nuts

	Apache 1.3.12
	RedHat 6.2
On:
	Firewall box (hostname is killer) 
HW:
	K5/166
	64MB RAM
	Adaptec 2890 SCSI adapter
	Quantum (yeah, I know) Fireball 1280
	2X Kingston KNE110TX Ethernet cards
	VGA mono video card to B&W LCD (console mode only)
Try:
	From any host, incl. killer: lynx http://killer/
Get:
	403 Forbidden
Tried:
	ensuring /home/httpd/html/* are chmod'ed to ugo+r
	messing with Linuxconf
	messing with /etc/httpd/conf/*

Why?
