[ale] nic card problems

If you type ifconfig eth0 you should see the card, it's not configured
there wont be an IP but you should see soemthing like this, if all is well
eth0:122  Link encap:Ethernet  HWaddr 00:50:DA:29:B5:60
          UP BROADCAST RUNNING MULTICAST  MTU:1500  Metric:1
          Interrupt:11 Base address:0xde00
