Multi-drop PPPoE (Re: [ale] Mindspring/Earthlink DSL and linux ?)

I have a UMAX Ugate 3000, and it had quite a few minor
problems (lost connection and had to unplug the router for a
few seconds to reset, sometimes 2 or 3 times a day,
sometimes once every other day).  Since I upgraded to the
latest firmware (over two weeks ago), I haven't had to reset
it once.

It's a little more than the Linksys, though.  I'm sure
they'll get the problems fixed soon, if they haven't
already.

And NO, NO, NO, you do NOt have to run PPPoE on every
client - that is taken care of by the router itself.
