Wow!  Really ?!? Thanks...I needed that.  That was so informative,
clueful and *on toipc* for this mailing list.

This is the part that I love....attempting to patent an *implementation*
....not the technology being utilized to make this implementation
possible, just the implementation itself! 
(...smells like Amazon, tastes like chicken)

...of course with the current patent system and slimebag lawyer (is
there really any other kind?) heading up the patent office, I'm sure
this will greasily slide right on through.

Ya know, this is the problem with the system today.  Too much of this
crap is getting through.  Solution: oh, I don't know.....make
implementations of current technologies not patentable and create a
board of technical specialists of various industrial and technological
fields (not business management specialists or lawyers!) to review
whether a submission is actually a new technology worthy of patent, or
just an implementation of current technology and therefore *NOT*
patentable.

oh well, one can dream........
