I once got Linux IP-Masquerade working with PPP.  This is much more work
to set up than slirp, but it works much better.

As far as accounts go, they can set their PPP client to automatically
dial in to their normal account and run pppd from command line.  I know
Windows used to allow for such scripting, so I'm assuming it still does.
