[ale] Problem w/new kernel

I had this exact same thing.  When I built the kernel, I set the 
processor type like always to the p2 option, for my k6-2.  What
I didn't know is that the menu had changed and k6-2 has it's own
option now.  Once I changed the processor type to the correct setting
the kernel booted just fine.
