[ale] Hard Disk speed settings

Eric, thanks for your concern.  I have enabled 32bit access on a
non-production machine which has 2 reiserfs partitions. The OS is
LinuxMandrake 7.1 and the disk is an 8gig WD drive.  I haven't seen any
problems so far, but I certainly will keep an ear to the ground. 
Obviously the reiser code, as well as the Linux DMA support, is
improving all the time, so hopefully any kinks have been fixed. 

Time will tell...
