[ale] VM problems

Geoffrey -

This has happened to me just recently.  I could just barely do anything and
the drives were running continuously.  I tried to run top and I saw that I
was out of swap - I have two swap partitions and 128MB RAM!  I was also able
to tell that Netscape appeared to be responsible.

This was under Mandrake 7.1 and whatever version of Netscape comes with
that.  I will at some point change distros and update Netscape, but I tell
you, I'm about ready to switch browsers (although I would continue to use
Messenger for e-mail).
