Hey everybody! I know this is a linux forum but I also know there are minds out
there that deal with NT also and I have run out of resources. I have a
Checkpoint installation on a NT box that will not forward packets. From what I
can tell the configuration is correct within Checkpoint. I have created the
local.arp file to map the mac address to the appropriate IPs and the route table
has correct entries. Now here is the kicker. I know everything is working
because if I ping a internal web server by Domain name from the firewall itself,
then I get a reply with the NAT IP address I specified in the network object.
However, when pinging from anywhere else I get no reply. Log show that the
packets are being accepted but still no reply is sent back from the firewall. I
have tried this with different NIC cards to try to rule out hardware but to no
avail! Anybody have any ideas??? Please ...anyone?? Any help would as always be
greatly appreciated.
