A further note....

192.168 is used for autoconfiguration when a client is unable to obtain an ip address from dhcp... It would be a safer bet to change the netwrok number now before you get too deep into experimenting... :)

As a software developer for 15 years I can't tell you how many times I've
made a similar bone-headed error.  It's always nice to have someone else
look things over, just for those times when you see what you thought you
wrote, not what's there.
