[ale] rsh problem

Kinda forgot about this problem and with the recent discussion in the
mailing list I will say thank you and sorry for not responding sooner.  The
situation was no longer needed so it kind of lost focus.  I did however look
at the problem again yesterday and your suggestion put me on the right
track.

I had rhosts file properly setup so I was confused but the problem was with
user ids, they didn't match so the .rhosts files were never being looked at.
Hence the problem.  Thanks for putting me on the right track.
