I don't know where there is a template file, but here's what I use in
a kickstart script:

# Installed from kickstart configuration
#
DEVICE=eth1
BOOTPROTO=static
BROADCAST=10.0.0.255
IPADDR=10.0.0.1
NETMASK=255.255.255.0
NETWORK=10.0.0.0
ONBOOT=yes
