Keith,

I agree that for Linux to gain the widespread appeal we all believe it
deserves it has to be as easy to install as M$ products or even the
"commercial" Unixes. I just installed Caldera 2.3 on our main file server
and they come very close to an ideal install. Much better than RedHat. I
have installed many Unixes over the years and I thought Caldera's was even
easier than SCO Unix, which I consider fairly easy to setup. They do provide
an option for "typical" installations like a Network Server, Web Server,
etc. with fairly automatic partitioning etc.

I had also heard that the InstallShield guys were working on bringing out
their product for Unix in general, but haven't heard any more about it since
last year.
