Hi Sunil,

The reason they are caled winmodem is because they work only with windows. They do not have a UART. The driver takes a part of the job of the UART. I really doubt whether you will be able to get it to work (unless you are trying to write the driver for it, in which case I don't think you will be sending this message :)). Try to get a modem that says will work with DOS or better still get a external modem. AFAIK, that is your best bet.
