[ale] OFFTOPIC: netscape plugins?

  Ok, I've downloaded a plugin for netscape.  Silly thing doesn't come
with any "readme", etc.  I untar'd it and it created 2 files in . and 2 
.so files in ./plugins.  I stopped and restarted netscape.  Still doesn't
see it.  Anyone have any thoughts or a HOWTO url?
