[ale] Problems with my BellSouth connection

I've been on BellSouth.Not for a couple of years. If you really want to
understand why their network has problems just do a traceroute to anywhere.
(even their DNS server is 5 or 6 hops away) Unlike most data networks, the
BellSouth network was designed by telco engineers where they're accustomed
to using about a 500 to 1 compression ratio of user access resources.
(i.e., multiplexing users on their RAS systems)
