[ale] Problems with my BellSouth connection

Generally I don't have much trouble with Bellsouth and I've always used
PAP. Lately though there've been a few times where my pppd timed out
waiting on a response from their's. It always goes thru by the second
dial-in though. I think someone needs to tune their system.
