[ale] Weird stuff in my environment

Has anyone had any luck with RH 6.0 or Caldera 2.2 with NeoMagic drivers? I
am trying to load on a Toshiba Portege 7010, and cannot get X to load.
Machine freezes loading KDE. The installation detected the video RAM
incorrectly, and there is no way to select the correct parameter, which is
2.5mb. If possible, direct replies with a copy to mlinhsph at netnam.org.vn

  1) try setting the environment variable EDITOR=path_to_pico (.bashrc /
.dtprofile / .profile as appropriate)

  2) the garbage in your environment looks just like shell functions.
My GUESS is that you were running Midnight Commander (since that is one
of the functions seen) and it aborted and/or didn't clean up after
itself.
