I asked this qustion in tonight' ALE meeting:
"If I upgraded from RH5.2 to RH6.0 using the cdrom drive, why can't I
mount it?"

Here's the bash response:
[root at smnolde scott]# mount /dev/cdrom
mount: wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on /dev/cdrom,
or too many mounted file systems

[root at smnolde scott]# more /etc/fstab
/dev/hda8 / ext2 defaults 1
/dev/hda1 /boot ext2 defaults 1
/dev/hdb5 /dl ext2 defaults 1
/dev/hdb7 /opt ext2 defaults 1
/dev/hdb1 /tmp ext2 defaults 1
/dev/hda5 /usr ext2 defaults 1
/dev/hdb6 /usr/local ext2 defaults 1
/dev/hdb8 /usr/src ext2 defaults 1
/dev/hda6 /var ext2 defaults 1
/dev/hda7 swap swap defaults 0
/dev/fd0 /mnt/floppy ext2 noauto 0
/dev/cdrom /mnt/cdrom iso9660 noauto,ro 0
none /proc proc defaults 0

I heard I might need to recomile the kernel with and added option...
What is the option, and then how do I recompile (I'll look it up in
LDP - don't answer this one).

Thanks,
Scott

BTW - it was my first ale meeting and it was way cool.
