Job Opening - Sr. Software Engineer (Linux Device Drivers - Audio centric)
Full-Time - Permanent Position

Description:
Looking for a Full-Time developer to work on develop Audio driver architecture
for Linux.  Primarily the development will be done under OSS, however other
architectures will be considered based on feedback from the engineer.

Duties:
You will be responsible for the implementation of Linux kernel device drivers
for the Creative Labs PCI audio product line.  This includes bug fixes,
optimizations, kernel
tweaks, etc for all of Creative PCI audio products.  In addition, you will be
responsible for making recommendations on the driver architecture and for the
development of a Linux SDK(documentation and sample source code).  You will also
be expected to help grow a team of engineers to help support an on going Linux
development effort.

Skills:
- - BS/MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or other relevant discipline.
(equivalent experience acceptable)
- - 4 or more years of device driver experience
- - Experience with DSP programming or Audio Processors
- - Strong C background
- - Extensive knowledge of the Linux 2.X.X kernel and development tools
- - Familiarity with OSS and ALSA
