Where'd you get your kernels?  That's definitely *not* part of the kernels
that Linus releases.

Generally, for shell scripts, you just execute them.

./doinst.sh

should work fine.  If not,

sh ./doinst.sh

should work.

If I remember correctly, doinst.sh is part of slackware's "package" system,
but it's been years since I've run slackware.
