You did install all the libraries that Enlightenment needs in the right order
first, correct?

I don't understand why you are using rpms? You should just check the source out
of the gnome cvs server and compile it in this order:

glib
gtk+
ORBit
Imlib
fnlib
e
Eterm

optionally...
gnomelibs
ee
control-center
gimp

Also, you should be putting it in /usr/enlightenment according to Mandrake :)
