[ale] Redhat 6.1 Secure web server problems

Well, I figured out the problem... Redhat seems to have left out the part of
the Makefile that makes a test certificate as described in the installation
manual, and it also turns out that the fix on the web site in the 'gotchas'
section is wrong too.... (Hmmm... I seem to be working too hard to make a
commercial product work like it should). I searched the RedHat mailing list
for the secure server to figure out the problem... The Command that RedHat
supplies to Gen a test certificate is:

/usr/sbin/openssl req -new -key ssl.key/server.key -out ssl.crt/server.crt

It should be:

/usr/sbin/openssl req -new -x509 -key ssl.key/server.key -out
ssl.crt/server.crt

(Make sure to remove any line breaks if you want to use this...)

btw, RedHat still has not responded to my support ticket via their web based
support system...

Has anyone successfully installed RedHat 6.1 professional with their secure
web server and used SSL with a certificate that you created? The tools that
they have provided are incomplete and the fix on the web site does not seem
to work either. I've activated my support with RedHat and placed a support
request. That was yesterday and I have no response...

If you've set this up, could you please send me the steps for making your
own certificate?

Thanks
