[ale] downloading from internet

erm, they should end up wherever you specified to put them.  If you
download a file and your browser screen begins to fill with rubbish, its
because the browser is trying to display the file itself.  Simply hit
stop, click back, and hold the shift key while you click on what you
want to download.  Netscape defaults to your current working directory
when downloading files.
