OK, your big difference is form factor. The P5A is a full-size ATX m/b.
The P5A-B is a Baby AT m/b. (IIRC, the -B still has an ATX power plug
as well as the AT pair...) Basically this determines which kind of case
you use... Baby AT tends to be smaller and cheaper, full-ATX tends to
have more room for... goodies. :)

Either of these two will serve you well running Linux; I've used both
boards professionally with zero problems. (I will just drop in that
I use the DFI P5BV3+revB at home because it was *cheaper* :) Basically
in the m/b department get what you like; there are very few M/B's that
will NOT run just peachy with the Penguin. (They're listed in the
hardware compatibility HOWTO, which is on your RH6 CD, or at
http://metalab.unc.edu/LDP/HOWTO/Hardware-HOWTO-2.html (or on your favorite
mirror for HOWTO's).... there are only about six, and they're pretty
obscure except for Ye Olde PS/2... (fret not, MCA support is getting
there)...

Short answer: Pick your case, grab appropriate M/B, and go for it.

Good luck... I know I enjoyed building a system from scratch....
