Hi:

I'm having trouble printing a postscript file generated by rlab (version
2.1.00). This program produces postscript files with the following header:

%!PS-Adobe-3.0 EPSF-3.0
%%For: chiang
%%Title: PGPLOT PostScript plot
%%Creator: PGPLOT
%%CreationDate: 25-Apr-1999 20:52
%%BoundingBox: (atend)
%%DocumentFonts: (atend)
%%LanguageLevel: 1
%%Orientation: Landscape
%%Pages: (atend)
%%EndComments

Octave however, produces postscript files with a different sort of header:

%!PS-Adobe-2.0
%%Title: npmode.ps
%%Creator: gnuplot 3.5 (pre 3.6) patchlevel beta 347
%%CreationDate: Tue Apr 20 21:18:36 1999
%%DocumentFonts: (atend)
%%BoundingBox: 50 50 554 770
%%Orientation: Landscape
%%Pages: (atend)
%%EndComments

I can print PS-Adobe-2.0 OK using Suse 6.0 which uses apsfilter but not the
PS-Adobe-3.0 EPSF-3.0. Any reason why this is so?

I looked in /var/spool/lpd/ljet4-letter-auto-mono-300 which is the filter where
postscript files are supposed to go and the log file had this in it:

%%[ Error:stackunderflow; OffendingCommand: moveto ]
%% GNU Ghostscript: Unrecoverable error, exit code 1

Does this mean that ghostscript cannot handle PS-Adobe-3.0 EPSF-3.0 files?
Thanks for any help.
