[ale] VMware and RH5.2

I guess it's just too much for my P200.  I've not heard of it locking up
on anyone else, but it did this to me twice.  I mean the whole thing. 
Keyboard, mouse nothing responded.  Had xdaliclock running and it was
frozen in time (so to speak).  I had to hit the reset.  I guess I need
to upgrade to some of that later stuff. :(
