Robert -

Isn't there touchscreen hardware that basically emulates a mouse, i.e.,
encodes a touch as a quick series of chopper-wheel signals followed by a
button click? The touchscreen systems I've messed with recently appeared
to move a mouse pointer around as you touched. If that's the case, then
your touchscreen implementation should be very nearly a no-brainer...

Subject: [ale] TouchScreen???

Does anyone have any knowledge about touch screens under linux? I'm
working on a buisness proposal to use them but that'll be a turning point.

In particular, I have a programmer who's going to write me some menuing
software and it'll be implemented with a touch screen, but he's hoping
I can find an "API" for it. Anyone have any ideas?

Robert
