There is a patch for 2.0.x kernels to support ide floppies.  It works
quite well.  One gotcha -- Iomega decided that the data partition on
a zip drive is partition number 4.  So if your ide zip drive is the 
first drive on the second channel you would be mounting /dev/hdc4.

Unfortunatly I don't remember where I got it from.  I think I did a 
search for "linux zip drive" using www.metacrawler.com or somesuch.
