[ale] improved syslogd.c

[Bob's ALE Mail]

After getting very frustrated with syslogd not behaving as expected, I got
the source from Slackware/Walnut Creek and added lots of debugging
(just give a "-d") and fixed some stupid bugs.

If you'll want to try it, ftp it from:

	ftp://ftp.mindspring.com/users/cavu/syslogd.c

or ask me to email it to you.

Install it in /usr/sbin and do

	killall syslogd
	syslogd [-d]
