Marty --
You are ahead of me on all this. I have a shell in Siberia which I use
for mail and news _via_ low-level *NIX tools like 'mailx.' Your remark
about sendmail.cf sounds familiar. I can say from local mail that you're
not the first to face this FAQ.

[Marty is currently using 'pine' for mail reading.]
mbb- I still have a problem with sending mail, because it doesn't seem to
mbb- put in my ISP's system and domain. I thought there was a place in the
mbb- sendmail.cf file where I could specify what name my box is
mbb- "masquerading" as, but it doesn't seem to work.

I am taking the liberty of posting this question to the 'ale' (Atlanta
Linux Enthusiasts) mailing list. I hope someone who knew or filed the
answer to your question will respond to the list, to me, or to you.

Regards --john mills--
