}Is there a way that you can let a person come in, only have access to the
}directories under their home directory, but still run programs like vi and

I don't know if Linux has it, but other versions of UNIX have a toy called
restricted shell.  You can define the commands and directories a user has
access to.  Anyone know if there is a restricted shell in Linux?
