There are a few examples of .fvwmrc files that makes FVWM look more like
MWM. You should check out the main FVWM home page.

The connectic color cameras cost a couple of hundred and they have drivers
under linux to let you do live video feeds. Or at least I know that you can
do snapshots. Live video feeds can't be that much harder for direct connect
hardware like this.

Most "grown-up" unices have applications that have a consistent 3d-look. 
Either all MOTIF or whatever. In addition, they have all point and click
apps that do most of the work. In other works, they have the Mac and
Windows feel. Really annoying if you ask me. Nice occaisionally but I
really prefer having a command line lying around to get real work done in
:-)
