}security article, by AEllen Frisch, who wrote the O'Rielly Unix Security 
}book that recommended changing passwords to 16 characters.  There was a 
}simple patch available, but she didn't mention needing to modify other 
}programs.  I can look it up if anyone is interested.

Well I think he wants to change length of the id not the password.  But I
would think you would run into the same problem.  I would like to see the
article though.  Boy won't that piss off a lot of users, 16 character
passwords.....
