}I just noticed that on bootup I am getting the following messages:
}
}Configuring serial ports..../dev/cua2, Line 2, UART: 16550A, Port: 0x03e8, IRQ: 3
}        Baud_base: 115200, close_delay: 50, divisor: 0
}        Flags: spd_hi skip_test

man setserial:

       close_delay delay
	      Specify the amount of time, in hundredths of a sec-
	      ond, that DTR should remain low on a serial line
	      after the callout device is closed, before the
	      blocked	dialin	device	raises	DTR again. The
	      default value of this option is	50, or a half-
	      second delay.

Kinda makes sense...

}
}Does anyone know what the "close delay: 50" and "divisor: 0" mean?

       divisor divisor
	      This option sets the custom divison. This divisor
	      will be	used when the spd_cust option is selected
	      and the serial port is set to 38.4kb by the appli-
	      cation.	This parameter may be specified by a non-
	      privileged user.

       spd_cust
	      Use the custom divisor to set the speed	when the
	      application requests 38.4kb. In this case, the
	      baud rate is the baud_base divided by the divisor.
	      This parameter may be specified by a non-privileged
	      user.

}I am invoking this from rc.serial with the following lines:
}
}/bin/setserial /dev/cua2 uart 16550A port 0x3e8 irq 3 spd_hi
}/bin/setserial -a /dev/cua2
}
}and port cua2 is my 14.4 USR Sportster modem.
