Also, when you compile your kernel, there's an option to drop source
routed packets ("IP: Drop source-routed frames" or something to that
effect).  You probably have this turned on (it's on by default, as source
routed frames could be a security risk; there's almost no non-nefarious
reason to need something to be sent source routed). If you really want to
get these packets, just recompile, saying No when the configure script
asks about dropping source routed frames.
