[ale] NetsRAPE crash Linux. every time!!

ok guys, Here's a good one.

every time I use Netsrape my system crashes hard, real hard. 
The entire system locks up tight. I have been able to reproduce this
error anytime by simply grabbing the title bar of Netsrape and move
the window around the screen rapidly. If not it eventually crashes 
anyway, usually while recieving a page. My cdrom light comes on for a
second. 

The Console then spits this out.

What I have tried:-
Moved CDrom drive from end of SCSI chain replaced with
fujitsu 530(linux drive1) termpower enabled for both 
the 530 drive and controler power src (suggested by steve Thanx)

Upgraded the S3 Xserver to the latest beta.

Upgraded from Netsrape 2.02 to 3.0 latest version beta7.

Upgraded to ld.so.1.7.14 as the Netsrape docs said. 


I have tried to crash it otherwise but have benn unsuccessful.
Even ran 3 copies of svgaDoom and played Abuse all at the same time. no
problem.
But Netsrape will take it down everytime.

I also have been unable to replicate the problem in windog95 with the
same versions
of Netsrape. Even playing videos of the scsi CDrom while running
Netsrape and
formatting floppy all at the same time in Windog95 no problem. 

In linux I can run my system for days doing everything else with no
crash until
I run Netsrape. 

Can any of you Linux Brainiacs fill me in on what's going on here ?
