I finnaly got X working on my laptop. Thanks for all the info. The biggest
key was getting another server (3.1.2):

goto X Window notebook howto home page
(http://www.castle.net/X-notebook/index_linux.html), you also can get the
new SVGA X server and XF86Config file from Eric Anderson
(http://www.cs.berkeley.edu/~eanders/linux), that is what I used on my
notebook. I went to Darin Ernst mouse installation how-to page
(http://www.castle.net/X-notebook/mouse.txt) to get my touchpad and PS/2
mouse working together.

I hope this will work for you.

Now, I have to get it stable. For some reason, Xdm will kick in and out of GFX
mode alot before it is actually up and running correctly. Any Ideas?
